How on earth did we live without the internet?
This weekend's broadband failure made me realise just how much of life is online these days.
I feel perhaps a little sad that our children may never have the experience of placing a large clunky encylopedia on the library table, and flipping it open to research an assignment. The scent of the paper and students who went before.
Nostalgia is something else.

I agree with you. I loved going to the library to do the research.. you had to read EVERYTHING to get to the info you wanted. Now you Google it..
I still read books though, but the rest is all done online

I suppose that is true. They'll never have to go to friend's homes - those who's parents could afford the encyclopedia - do the task and hope it's right. Now we have it all available at the click of a button
I never did projects in the library.
A miss spent youth perhaps.
